Vegetarian catering in Bangalore, cooked live in front of your guests

RASA builds every event around live stations and menus that move between Indian and global cooking. Vegetarian, always. Menus run ₹1,200 to ₹3,000 a plate, before GST, transport and crockery.

The counters your guests will stand around

A live station is food finished in front of the person eating it. The batter goes on the griddle when they ask for it. The pasta is tossed in the pan while they wait. It is the difference between a room where people eat and a room where people gather.

Stations we design into proposals. What runs at your event is agreed with you.

Menus that don’t taste like every other buffet

Vegetarian food has more range than most events give it. RASA menus keep the classics people came for, then add dishes that borrow from somewhere else: chaat served as a small plate, dim sum with a palak-paneer filling, halwa in a pastry shell.

Street plate

Chaat, made to be eaten standing up with one hand.

  • Papdi crisps with set yoghurt and chutney
  • A flight of flavoured waters with puris
  • Masala-corn cups
  • Tikki sliders in soft buns
  • Chaat in tart shells

Dish types, to show the range. Your final menu is written for your event.

East by south

Indian fillings inside the cooking of East and Southeast Asia.

  • Dim sum with palak-paneer or corn
  • Bao with a spiced vegetable filling
  • A Thai-style curry built on a South Indian coconut base
  • Wok-tossed noodles with a tempering of mustard and curry leaf
  • Steamed greens with sesame and chilli

Dish types, to show the range. Your final menu is written for your event.

Mithai, reset

Indian sweets, rebuilt as a dessert counter.

  • Halwa in a pastry shell
  • Rasmalai-soaked sponge in a glass
  • Rabri set in a small pot with crisp shards
  • Kulfi on a stick, dressed to order
  • Jaggery-and-nut brittle over ice cream

Dish types, to show the range. Your final menu is written for your event.

All five collections, and how a menu is built

What are you planning?

What it costs, and what it doesn’t include

₹1,200–₹3,000

a plate. GST, transport and crockery sit outside that figure and are charged separately, shown as their own lines in your proposal.

Where your event lands in that range comes down to how many live stations you want and which ones, how many courses and how much choice inside them, how much of the menu is fusion work, how it’s served, how many functions there are, and how many people are eating.

How pricing works

How it works

  1. Tell us about the event. The date, roughly how many guests, where it is, and anything the family expects on the table.
  2. We talk it through. The mood you want, the dietary needs among your guests, the dishes that have to be there.
  3. You get a proposal. The station line-up, the menu, how it will be served, and a per-plate figure, with GST, transport and crockery as separate lines.

What we’ll ask you

  • The date and the service times
  • How many guests, and when that number will be firm
  • The venue and what it allows
  • Where the counters can stand and what power is near them
  • The dietary needs in the room
  • Your budget, if you have one

The whole process, and what we ask about your venue

What we can tell you, and what we can’t yet

What’s true

  • RASA serves vegetarian food only. No meat is served at any RASA event.
  • We cater in Bangalore.
  • Our menus run ₹1,200 to ₹3,000 a plate, before GST, transport and crockery.
  • Our address is 241, Yashas, 8th Cross Rd, 5th Block HMT Layout, Gopal Nagar, Venugopal Nagar, Nagasandra, Bengaluru 560073. Visits are by appointment.
  • Every photograph on this site is a licensed illustrative photograph, credited to its photographer. None of them shows a RASA event.

What we don’t claim

  • We don’t publish a star rating, an event count or a list of clients. Ratings are easy to inflate and hard to check.
  • We don’t publish a menu you can order from a page. Menus are written for the event.
  • When we have photographs of our own stations, and clients who are happy to be named, they will go here, with dates.

Questions people ask

Do you serve only vegetarian food?

Yes. RASA serves vegetarian food only, and no meat is served at any RASA event. If eggs matter to your guests, either way, say so when you enquire and we’ll confirm dish by dish in your proposal.

What does it cost per plate?

RASA menus run from ₹1,200 to ₹3,000 a plate. That’s for the food. GST, transport and crockery are charged separately and appear as their own lines in your proposal.

How many guests do you cater for?

Tell us your guest count and we’ll shape the stations and the service around it. The counters that suit 40 people in a flat aren’t the ones that suit 400 in a banquet hall, so the number changes what we propose.

Can you cook for Jain, no-onion-no-garlic or vegan guests?

Tell us what your guests need when you enquire and we’ll tell you plainly what we can do for your event, before you commit to anything. We don’t publish a blanket yes to dietary practices, because getting one wrong at a ceremony is worse than saying no in advance.

Where do you cater, and what do you need from the venue?

We cater across Bangalore. For a live station we need somewhere the counter can stand, power near it, water, a back area for preparation, and the venue’s permission for outside caterers and for open flame if the menu uses it. We go through all of that with you before your proposal is final. If your venue is outside the city, ask us.

Tell us about your event

Your name and WhatsApp number are enough to start. Everything else helps us shape the stations and the menu.

Or fill in the longer form, with stations, dates and guest numbers

We’ll reply here. Add the country code if you’re outside India.
